Barry and Ian both completed a 5km swim in Lake Windemere. Perfect mental preparation for their Ironman debut next year. Barry finished the swim in 1 hour 54 minutes and Ian, in his first year of open water swimming, finished in 3 hours 13 minutes. Tania and Jackie both completed the iconic and tough Sandman Triathlon in Wales. Tania crossed the finish line just under 4 hours finishing 10th in her age group (25 minute swim, 2 hour 11 minute bike, 1 hour 7 minute run) and Jackie, hot on Tania’s heels finished in just over 4 hours placing 15th in her age group (29 minute swim, 2 hour 23 minute bike, 1 hour 11 minute run).

Adam completed yet another 70.3 distance race (Half Ironman) at the Outlaw X and despite a mechanical which plagued him for most of the bike, finished just over 5 hours (31 minute 39 second swim, 2 hour 38 minute bike, 1 hour 46 minute run).

And last but not least, PTC’s head coach Pat managed an impressive 2nd place overall (1st in age group) at the incredibly wet Kendal Triathlon (6 minute 43 second swim, 32 minute 30 second bike, 20 minute 46 second run).

Fabulous events and results with just a few more yet to come before this years triathlon season draws to a close. I’ll soon be time for a few easy weeks to rest and recuperate and then time to start considering events for the 2020 season. If you have been inspired by any of PTC’s athletes’ many achievements this year and want to be out there achieving your goals next year, now is the perfect time to get in touch and start planning. Message to arrange a no commitment discussion and let's see what we can do to make your ambitions a reality.
