So with racing almost back in full flow, all be it with COVID-19 restrictions, it’s great to have more Team PTC members completing races and being able to report on them.

Last weekend saw Karen return to the Lakesman 70.3 to put her demons to bed after her previous DNF at this race.
Not everything always goes to plan though and despite spending most of the bike leg being sick (suspected contaminated water), and when a lot of people would have quit, Karen knuckled down with some true grit and crossed that finish line in just over 7 hours 30 minutes and laid those demons to rest.
Then entered again for next year 😉
Adam also took part in the same race and managed to pull of an amazing time finishing in just over 5 hours 14 minutes and 12th in his age group.

On the same weekend, Lee and Coach Pat both returned to the Outlaw Half in Nottingham.
Despite the transition being lengthened to nearly 1km to meet COVID-19 requirements, Lee managed to PB on his swim and managed to creep over the finish line in just over 6 hours 30 minutes. Coach Pat also had a great race once again breaking the 5 hour barrier finishing in 4 hours 56 minutes – full race report from Coach Pat coming soon.
With Ironman UK looming on the horizon amongst a handful of other races, no doubt it will be sooner than later when I’m posting up some more epic achievements.
