In preparation for IMUK this July, Stephen and Carl both competed in half iron distance events at the weekend with fabulous results:
Stephen finished the Epicman Windemere ½ in 107th place overall and 33rd place in his age group in a solid time of 6 hours 16 minutes 56 seconds (39:52 swim, 3:23:31 bike, 2:07:07 run).
Carl finished the Ultimate ½ in 73rd place overall and 7th place in age group in a great time of 5 hours 27 minutes 47 seconds (30:22 swim, 2:54:02 bike, 1:58:13 run). A new PB for Carl at this distance.

Lucy then took on her longest open water swim yet in Lake Bala swimming 9km with the lake living up to its reputation of being cold and choppy. She finished 6th overall, 3rd female and 1st in her age group in an amazing time of 2 hours 47 minutes and 35 seconds. Perfect training for her first half iron distance race next weekend.
These results quantify PTC’s philosophy of consistent and progressive training and are great confidence boosters especially when part of an overall training plan for your "A" race.
Sometimes, we don’t always feel like we’re making progress or getting faster when doing individual sessions, and it’s only when we get the race results in, we are pleasantly surprised by our own performance.
Even at this point in the race season, it’s not too late to start your coaching journey.
Get in touch if you’re not seeing the race results you’re hoping for.
