Finally Team PTC has been back in action!
Liz and Jackie both completed the Epicman Windermere Middle Distance Triathlon in challenging conditions – mainly the unexpected heat. Liz finished 5th in her age group in just over 7 and a half hours bagging the fastest female swim time overall and Jackie finished 6th in her age group in just over 8 hours.
Stuart nailed the Big C Norwich 100 mile bike ride in under 6 hours and Carol nailed the bike leg of the Cotswold 70.3 Triathlon as part of a relay team finishing comfortably with an amazing sub 2 hours 50 minute performance in wet conditions.
James took part in the New Forrest Rattler Endurance Weekend completing the 1.4km swim in just over 25 minutes and Barry and Ian both completed the Ullswater 3.8km swim in just under 1 hour 30 minutes and just over 2 hours respectively – not bad considering the water is still trying to warm up to more normal temperatures.
Sam, in his first ever Triathlon managed to bag 10th place overall and 2nd in his age group at the hotly contested Capernwray Midweek Sprint Distance Triathlon and on the same night, Carol was the first lady to finish the Aquabike and was 2nd overall – superstars!
And finally, Craig took part in the Leeds Olympic Distance Triathlon finishing in just over 2 hours 50 minutes – quicker than his predicted target time! Well done Craig.
