Last weekend saw five PTC athletes taking on the iconic Outlaw Half Triathlon.
Gary had an amazing race and in his bid to break his previous 6-hour PB, absolutely nailed it finishing with an amazing time of 5 hours 27 minutes and 58 seconds (38:14 swim, 2:44:00 bike, 1:55:22 run).
Lee H had a pretty good return to racing after having a few years off. Despite some schoolboy errors including leaving his bike shoes in his transition bag (which had then been placed in the bag drop zone), Lee managed to finish in 5 hours 34 minutes and 49 seconds (38:59 swim, 2:50:05 bike, 1:56:16 run).
Lee C had a great race, also bettering his previous PB and also finished under the 6 hours mark in 5 hours 50 minutes and 42 seconds (45:37 swim, 2:54:55 bike, 2:04:18 run).
Mark unfortunately had a rough swim getting tangled up with some fast guys and getting out through the washing machine. Despite this, and where others would have quit, he managed to pull himself together, re-focussed and still went on to break the 6-hour mark finishing in 5 hours 59 minutes (50:23 swim, 2:58:48 bike, 2:01:33 run).
Lynne, one of PTC’s newest athletes also had an amazing race finishing in 6 hours 8 minutes and 25 seconds (41:26 swim, 3:04:44 bike, 2:13:39 run) – a massive 22-minute PB.
At the same time as the Outlaw, Stephen took on the Southport Triathlon in order to get some race experience before his Ironman debut later this year finishing in a fantastic 2 hours 41 minutes and 40 seconds (32:23 swim, 1:13:38 bike, 48:31 run).
Well done everybody from all at PTC towers.
