And before we had time to turn around, more racing happened for Team PTC.
Chris flew over to Mallorca for his first crack at the Ironman 70.3. Having battled with injury for the first part of this year, Chris had a great race finishing strong in just under 6 hour 15 minutes.
Quite a few of us at PTC have all done Mallorca before and we're going to try and get everyone together there in 2026 for a great race in a great location.
Chris managed to bring the sunshine back with him which is great for those of us who are after tan lines, but for Liam, it made for a hot day on his first attempt at the Fred Whitton Challenge. Despite that, Liam felt strong on the bike all day finishing the brutal course in a very respectable sub 9 hour 30 minute time. Well done Liam!
And to shake things up a little - Oli had a great race at The Roc Wales - a 1.5km sea swim followed by a 50km bike, then a 12km run up and down Snowden, another 50km bike and then a sandy 1km run to the finish line. Oli crossed the line in just over 6 hours 15 minutes - impressive stuff considering the terrain!
And last but not least, Mike gave the Rossendale Triathlon a good go finishing in just over 1 hour 30 minutes and 6th in his age group.
Let's hope the sun keeps shining. More results coming soon from Team PTC.
