27th January 2025 - Rivington Pike Petzl Night Run

It’s been a while since I’ve updated this blog, but rest assured, PTC athletes were out in force throughout last year and it’s been hard to keep up, so I’ll start with this quick update.

On Saturday night, Oli and Coach Pat headed off to Rivington Pike for the annual Petzl 10km night run – a tough little hilly (read uphill) run made much harder by the dark and often the weather, although this time around it was a still night, all be it bloody freezing!

Oli, who’s well on his way back to fitness with some structured training managed to bag 49 place scraping just under the hour which is a pretty good time considering the terrain.

Coach Pat, continuing to show those younger whipper snappers that he still has it, managed to pull of an impressive 7th place overall in just over 51 minutes winning his age group.

Watch this space to keep up to date with team PTC in 2025!

Over and out.

Coach Pat.
